Turkish security forces arrested a man suspected of carrying out an attack at an Istanbul nightclub on New Year's eve, in the city's Esenyurt district, Monday.
Uzbek national Abdulkadir Masharipov was captured in a raid by police and taken to Istanbul's police headquarters for questioning. A man of Kyrgyz origin and three women were also detained during the operation.
Masharipov is suspected of carrying out a mass shooting at Istanbul's Reina nightclub on December 31. The attack resulted in the deaths of 39 victims.
