McCain: Lynch Delay Has 'nothing to Do With Race'

John McCain said on Sunday he would oppose Loretta Lynch to be the next attorney general, but the delay on her confirmation in the Senate has “nothing to do with race.” A vote on her nomination has been delayed, until after a resolution is reached on an unrelated bill tied to human trafficking. Some Democrats have suggested the procedural delays that have tied up the nomination are racially motivated since Lynch is an African-American - a suggestion that McCain dismissed out of hand.
