In stark contrast, the text details Lord Dexter, an unread and arrogant man who amassed a fortune through extraordinary luck in various improbable ventures. The safety pin, initially a practical fastening, later transformed into a symbol of rebellion against the system during the economic crises of the 1970s and 80s. This symbol was adopted by designers, marking its transition from a working-class item to a fashion statement.
